LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITY

State Legislative Action Committees (LACs)

LACs exist to represent the interests of and provide regular communications to, CAI members and chapters located within their boundaries with respect to state legislative, regulatory and amicus curiae activities of relevance to the creation and operation of community associations. LAC delegates are nominated by CAI chapters and each LAC, itself. Delegates volunteer their time and energy to benefit all CAI members.

CAI PUBLIC POLICY STATEMENTS

To guide advocacy efforts, CAI's Government & Public Affairs Committee (G&PA Committee) has worked to develop public policy positions on key issue areas that affect CAI members. Because CAI is a membership organization, members can propose a public policy for consideration by the G&PA Committee and Board of Directors. Through member input, CAI develops, reviews and adopts public policy statements.
