Condominium governing documents are not intended to remain static. As communities evolve, boards often need to amend master deeds/declarations; bylaws/declarations of trust; and rules and regulations to address changing legal requirements, operational needs, and owner expectations. Yet many boards are uncertain about when amendments are appropriate, what authority they possess, and the legal procedures required to successfully adopt changes.
This program provides a practical roadmap for understanding a board's authority to amend condominium documents while avoiding common legal pitfalls. Participants will learn current best practices, explore recent changes to condominium laws and gain practical guidance for navigating owner approvals, affordable unit covenants, and the amendment process with greater confidence.
